Club Harlem: an ACND Summer Knight Performing Arts Camp Production
In the summer of 2010, I worked at a summer performing arts program as an Art Teacher/ Creative Director on the production called: “Club Harlem”, a story about Harlem Hotel, it’s speakeasy “Club Harlem” and the many visitors and residents that pass through or live there. I also worked as Stage Manager, and Narrator. Basically my job was to get the campers involved in doing all the set design/construction: from the background to the flats, to the menus. It was an enormous task trying to get a bunch of very, very energetic kids to calmed down for a moment and work together. But of course they did a fantastic job. Soon I will post pictures of the signs and flats we painted and decorated.

FROM: The Academy: a project of mine thats very much still in progress. Will elaborate later.
LATER: The Academy… was a show idea a friend of mine had. We decided to write the first episode and create a title sequence for it. That was about two or three summers ago. Since then we’ve change the topic of the show and have to decided turn it into a webseries to keep creative control.
Only problem is, we’ve yet to write out all the new episodes. It’s hard though, with the shows on TV nowadays. Anyways. Hopefully, this month (July-Aug) we’ll be able to dedicate to writing these eps. I do feel uninspired though, and it’s hard to focus on it when I’m working on other projects and doing other jobs. I do find note-taking helpful. It keeps the ideas flowing when something strikes me out of no where.
My name is Stephan. I grew up in Miami, went to New York University for Film & TV. My ultimate dream is to earn money doind what I love doing production design or just art projects of any kind. Long term, I aspire to have my own Prop House/Art Production company, and create a TV show (Preferably Sci-fi).The rest is just my life doing what I love to do, Production Design.
